White Rock to expand in Lee County

A Lee County manufacturer will add 27 jobs and invest $1.5 million in an expansion, local leaders announced Friday.

White Rock Truss & Components LLC, which was established in the county in 2005, manufactures construction products including trusses and engineered lumber, according to a news release from the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority, or VCEDA. The expansion will accommodate increasing product demand, the release said.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin and other state leaders attended a ribbon-cutting for the expansion on Friday.

VCEDA provided a $500,000 loan to the Lee County Economic Development Authority to assist with the purchase of equipment for the expansion, the release said. The governor also approved a $100,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist Lee County with the project, and the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission provided a $50,000 grant.
