Cardinal News is presenting six free candidate forums this fall to better inform you on all the races you’ll find on the ballot.
The first one is Thursday in Martinsville with the candidates for city council. The event, which is free, is at 6 p.m. at the Martinsville-Henry County Heritage Museum.

- Lynchburg City Council, Oct. 10, 6:30 p.m., Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance.
- Roanoke City Council, Oct. 22, 6 p.m., Jefferson Center (Fitzpatrick Hall)
- Roanoke mayor, Oct. 22, 7:30 p.m., Jefferson Center (Fitzpatrick Hall)
- Salem City Council, Oct. 29, 6:15 p.m., Salem Public Library.
