Former Vice President Mike Pence will speak at Liberty University on Sept. 14, the school has announced.
Pence will speak as part of the schools’ regular convocation series of speakers.
This will be Pence’s third visit to Liberty. He spoke at Convocation in October 2016 as then-Indiana governor and Republican vice presidential candidate, and he returned in May 2019 to deliver the keynote address at Liberty’s 46th Commencement.
Other speakers this fall this fall include Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears, the first female Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth and the first Black female elected to statewide office (Oct. 5); Greg Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, and his wife, Cathe (Nov. 11); Christian media personality Priscilla Shirer (Oct. 14); pastors David Platt (Sept. 28), Jonathan Pokluda (Oct. 12), and Ben Stuart (Oct. 26); former NFL running back Shaun Alexander (Sept. 2); pro-life activist Abby Johnson (Sept. 9); and 16x Paralympic champion swimmer Jessica Long (Nov. 9). Guest music groups will include Shane & Shane (Sept. 28), the Sean Curran Band (Oct. 26), and Future of Forestry (Dec. 2).
The schedule officially kicks off on Aug. 24 with singer-songwriter Micah Tyler.
