Caroline Glickman.

Caroline Glickman has joined the governing board of Cardinal News, which now expands to four members.

Glickman, a longtime resident of Lynchburg, is retired editor of The (Lynchburg) News & Advance and The Roanoke Times. A Syracuse University graduate, she worked at newspapers in New Hampshire, New Jersey and Charlotte, N.C. before moving back home to Lynchburg in 2004 to work at The News & Advance. She retired in 2020.

“Caroline is an innovative and thoughtful leader,” said Cardinal board president Luanne Rife. “She has been supportive of Cardinal News from Day 1 and brings decades of experience in journalism and management to our board. She has been helpful in connecting us with people and resources in the Lynchburg area, and we are so pleased she is willing to share more of her time and talents with us.”

“I am delighted to join the board of directors for Cardinal News as we work to bring robust, accountability journalism to our part of Virginia,” Glickman said.

Other board members are retired Roanoke Times publisher Debbie Meade and Chris Turnbull, senior director of corporate communications for Carilion Clinic.  Other information about our board is available here.
