Virginia history for young readers

We’ve taken some of the stories we’ve been telling about Virginia’s role in American independence, enlisted artists from across the state, and turned the stories into a graphic history aimed at Virginia students.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Thanks to a grant from the Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission, Cardinal News has been telling a monthly series of stories about little-known aspects of Virginia’s role in independence. Now, thanks to a grant from Acton Family Giving and the Hearthland Foundation, we have been able to turn some of those stories into a graphic history for Virginia students. It’s available here for free download for use in schools.
