These numbers mark the lowest ratings that Youngkin received in this poll during the first 15 months of his four-year term as Virginia’s top executive.  That’s because more people in the poll identified as Democrats than before.

The winner of the June 20 Democratic primary will face state Sen. David Suetterlein, R-Roanoke County, in November. The newly drawn District 4 includes Roanoke, Salem, and parts of Roanoke and Montgomery counties.

Speaker of the House Todd Gilbert snubbed Republican firebrand Marie March. He also backed Jason Ballard, the incumbent in the 42nd District.

DeSantis gave a 20-minute speech to Liberty students Friday about “the woke agenda” and how he would use his governance of Florida as a blueprint for a presidency. The Florida governor gave no hints at a possible presidential bid.

Last year, the General Assembly adopted a final budget on June 1 — just four weeks before the deadline. That might be a realistic date this year as well, the chairman of the House Appropriations Committee says.
