The technology-centric Game Changer Week is set for its fourth go-round, beginning Tuesday.

Energy, health and life sciences, emerging tech, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and funding top the list of topics for the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center event.

Multiple events at Virginia Tech and other Blacksburg locations are scheduled over four days. Participants can start each day with 7 a.m. fitness challenges and 8 a.m. coffee socials.

Coaching sessions on business, branding, legal matters and more are among the Tuesday offerings. Wednesday’s agenda includes emerging life sciences trends and technologies, and a VT Corporate Research Center showcase featuring industry leaders. AI, GPS and leadership are among Thursday’s topics. AI-centric sessions for creativity, business and athletics are part of Friday’s events, which include the Student Pitch Party and the closing Game Changer Block Party.

In between those Friday events, Matthew Theurer will deliver the keynote address: “A Tech Entrepreneur’s Journey: from Seed to VC, solving real-world problems.” Theurer started in network systems design about the turn of the century, then moved to cloud computing before joining HyperSpectral, which is working to apply AI to food safety, health care and defense, according to the company’s website

“We’re thrilled to provide a platform where people can connect, collaborate, and drive meaningful change in their fields,” CRC President Brett Malone said in a news release. “This event showcases the incredible talent and innovation in the Hokie Nation and beyond, and we look forward to the game-changing discussions and connections that will emerge.”
